Appellation: Patrimonio became Corsica’s first Appellation d’origine contrôlée in 1968. It’s celebrating its 50 years this year!
Region: Corsica
Estate: A 7ha estate located in Oletta, a lovely village in Corsica. After law studies, Nicolas, the winemaker, settled there in 2007 to make a living from his passion.
Grapes: 100% Niellucciu
Did you know?: The three leading grape varieties of the region are Nielluccio, known as the spice wine of France, Sciacarello and Vermentino.
Specifications
Deep ruby with light red reflections
Very aromatic nose of dark fruits such as black currant and blackberry. Lighter smell of liquorice and leather.
As the wine has been matured in a stainless-steel barrel, it is quite fresh and delicate. At the end you might taste dark chocolate and black olives.
Wine service temperature: 17°. Maturity: ready to drink, up to 8 years cellaring
Rabbit in mustard sauce, beef steak, duck breast, grilled blood sausage, dark chocolate cake.
