Sommelier's Notes A wonderful still white wine from Champagne, 100% Chardonnay, superbly done by Emmanuel Lassaigne. Only 1600 bottles produced in 2010. Directly from the vineyard. Exclusively on The French Cellar
REGION: Champagne
Appellation: The Coteaux Champenois appellation is an exception in Champagne, as its wines are still, not sparkling!
Region: Champagne
Estate: Emmanuel Lassaigne, talented young winemaker,  took over the estate from his dad. The vineyard is located in Montgueux, near Troyes
Grapes: 100% Chardonnay
Did you know?: Coteaux Champenois grapes are the same as those allowed for sparkling Champagne: Pinot noir and Pinot Meunier for red wines, and Chardonnay for whites. Production is small, given the high demand for sparkling Champagne
Bright golden yellow color with light green reflections
A great nose, precise, fresh with beautiful aromas of white fruits, peach, gooseberry and notes of hawthorn and toasted bread
Frank attack, ample, intense, well-balanced palate. A very long finish (do not hesitate to let the wine breathe in your glass)
Wine service temperature: 10-12 ° (open the bottle 30 minutes before). Maturity: ready to drink, up to 10 years cellaring
Aperitif, lobster stew, chicken tikka masala
