Appellation

Côte Rotie. Vineyards of Côte-Rôtie northern part of Rhone Valley, are situated on the hillsides on the right bank of the river Rhône. The slopes sometimes exceed 60%. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of between 180 to 325 metres. The two main grapes are Syrah and Viognier (only Syrah for this wine)

Estate

Bonnefond estate, splendid vineyards  of 14 hectares in Côte Rotie with a tradition of excellence. Côte Rotie is divided in Côte Brune and Côte Blonde; Côte Rozier is part of Côte Brune which terroirs produce more aromatic, intense and complex wines. Côte Rozier Bonnefond is an outstanding wine from a single parcel.

Deep ruby red color
The nose is resplendent, very expressive with aromas of red fruits and spices. Notes of graphite, blackberry and flowers complete the aromatic palette
The palate is fruity with very silky tannins. The texture is rich, opulent and full of freshness. The finish is very very long with subtle notes of red and black fruits. A remarkable wine for an immediate tasting, which can be cellared over years with an exceptional future ahead
Roast beef with sauteed red cabbage, coq au vin, lievre a la royale ("royal hare")
