Château Haut-Gazeau is located on the top of the clay and limestone plateau called "Gazeau" from which is derived its name: Haut Gazeau. The “complantation” of the vineyard, a wise association between Merlot and Cabernet Franc,  promotes the expression of their respective characters. The style of the wines is a result of a fine balance between tradition and modernity so as to obtain the whole expression of fruits harvested at perfect maturity. The aging of wines in barrels of different coopers brings complexity and defines a domain-specific style.

Grapes: 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc
Intense ruby ​​color with purple reflections, clear and fluid.
Lovely aromatic notes of cherries, blackberries, ripe strawberries and vanilla. After aeration, the wine reveals notes of fresh mushrooms, spices and toasted aromas.
The wine is round, balanced, structured with assertive tannins but still delicate. A successful and very well balanced vintage that shows the potential of this wine.
Wine service temperature: 17° nMaturity: ready to drink, up to 10 years cellaring.
Roasted prime rib, braised veal shank, seared veal sweetbread with truffle sauce, seared venison tenderloin, stewed beef with star anise and lemongrass.
