Sommelier's Notes A Champagne with a great vintage, combined to a very nice freshness. Directly from the vineyard. Exclusively on The French Cellar
REGION: Champagne
Appellation: Cote de Bar is an appellation dominated by Pinot Noir grape production. It is home to the favorite Champagne of French King Louis the XIV, the builder of Versailles.
Region: Champagne
Estate: Located at the core of the Cote des Bar, Vincent Couche cultivates 13 hectares of vineyards in Buxeuil and Montgueux.
Grapes: 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay
Did you know?: Vincent's wines go through full malolactic fermentation. Everything in the winery is done by gravity, without pumps and all the wines are unfiltered with dosage (final sugar addition) kept to a minimum, if any is added at all. All of these low intervention winemaking decisions are made in order to express the Terroir of his land and express Vincent’s natural philosophy in the bottle.
Golden yellow
Very nice and intense nose. Notes of mirabelle plum, apricot confit, fresh quince and white pepper. Vegetal and floral nose are completing the bouquet.
Regular and silky bubbles. Persistent and strong substance. Nice Freshness, a mineral taste, owned to Chardonnay s sol, that gives a resonance to the wine.
Wine service temperature: 12° Maturity: ready to drink, up to 5 years cellaring
