Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru, Domaine Coffinet Duvernay, 2011

0.13 hectares only, with each of the parcel of the terroir harvested and vinified separately! A wine mainly enjoyed in the best fine-dining restaurants of the planet. Remarkable! nDirectly from the vineyard. Exclusively on The French Cellar

Batard-Montrachet is one of five Grand Cru vineyards located in a cluster around the Mont-Rachet hill in Burgundy. Batard-Montrachet is the largest of the five sites, covering about 12 hectares.

A family estate since 1860. I know the current winemaker, Philippe Duvernay very well. Philippe does exceptional work in the vineyards and during winemaking. I’m always impressed by the quality of every vintage they produce.
