Appellation

Batard-Montrachet is one of five Grand Cru vineyards located in a cluster around the Mont-Rachet hill in Burgundy. Batard-Montrachet is the largest of the five sites, covering about 12 hectares.

Estate

A family estate since 1860. I know the current winemaker, Philippe Duvernay very well. Philippe does exceptional work in the vineyards and during winemaking. I’m always impressed by the quality of every vintage they produce.

Bright golden yellow color
Very expressive and pleasant nose with notes of plum, peach, pear, citrus fruits, white pepper, toasted bread and fresh brioche. Lovely!
Precise attack. Rich, complex, intense. Already delightful with a great potential of aging!
