Appellation: Alsace Pinot Noir is an appellation for red wines from Alsace. Pinot Noir is the only red grape that can be grown in Alsace. Although only white wines are allowed to be labelled grand cru in Alsace, it seems likely that Alsace Pinot Noirs will soon obtain the title of grand cru due to the rise in demand.

Estate: Domaine de la Tour Blanche is a family estate in Alsace passed down in the same family since 1628. They produce a variety of wines such as Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. Oak barrels used in the winemaking process have an average age of 100 to 120 years, and they’re stored in an old cellar from 1557.

Generous wine with elegant tannins and a persistent finish. Though aged in an oak barrel, woody notes are not dominant - instead, feel the ocean of ripe fruits (cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant)
